Trainer/Owner

Theresa Haus

eclipse

I have started re-training all 5 of my horses myself.

I started all of them back to the basic since the previous trainer chose not to listen by using a harsh quarter bit less bridle. They are learning how to turn with a bridle with a bite and ride in a english saddle.

Gen's Texas Tuff

The previous trainers had this guy so afraid of saddles and harsh bites. That he did not trust anyone. First trainer left the back strap of a western on and the saddle slip on his back scarring the heck out of him. The second and third trainer would take the western saddle and just slam them on his back re-enforcing that fear of saddles. The third trainer used a bit less bridle that was harsh caused him to back away from bridle. None of the trainers would ride him on a regular basis that would install any for of trust nor desire to want to be ridden.

I have earn Texas's trust by placing the english saddle on his back, using a bridle with a mild bit. He now enjoys being ridden, he will drop his head for the bridle and stand still while I use a mounting block to get on and will not move until I'm on and give the command to walk, without anyone holding him. He trusts me to walk out side the barn.

Chasher's Eclipse

I have been working with Eclipse on getting him used to being ridden outside of the barn. The barn is his comfort zone and I'm working on getting him to trust me to move away from the barn. I'm doing all of this without using spurs or a riding crop.

Chasing Golden Dreams

Because the previous trainer would not ride Dreamer on a regular basis because of this she was barley broke. The trainer had her from October to May and she would not stand for to get up on her.

When I first got her with the english saddle she crow hopped and bucked about 6 times when she realized that she was not going to get me off she has not bucked since.

Because of the bitless bridle the previous was on Dreamer when he chose to ride her it was so harsh it cause her to tuck her head to much to point of losing her head shake.

I know have her working with a tomthumb bit and I have been working with her ears to point she doesn't mind having the bridle at all now. With the tomthumb she relaxing enough to bring her headup and shake her head.
